An Israeli airstrike killed a Hamas political leader in southern Gaza. Palestinian officials put the death toll from months of conflict at over 50,000.

The number of people killed by Israel‘s war in Gaza has climbed above 51,000 people, according to an updated toll released

Gaza's civil defence rescue agency said Thursday that a rash of Israeli air strikes killed at least 40 people, most of them in encampments for displaced civilians, as Israel pressed its offensive in the Palestinian territory.

As a result of Israeli airstrikes on camps in the Gaza Strip, at least 25 people have died, mainly women and children. The attacks took place in areas where refugee camps are located. The Israeli army has not yet responded to these reports.
