Israel’s military says it has carried out airstrikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen’s Red Sea province of Hodeida.

The Israeli Air Force attacked Yemen. The strike targeted the port city of Hodeidah, Walla reports. An unnamed senior Israeli official said the targets included facilities in the Hodeidah port and a major Houthi factory.

Defence Minister Israel Katz said Operation Gideon Chariots was being led with "great force". Netanyahu had vowed to escalate pressure with the aim of destroying the militant group that has ruled Gaza for nearly two decades.
