The National Weather Service said that heavy snow was expected in Montana, near Pryor and along the northern Bighorn Mountains.

Some meteorologists say they were unable to accurately forecast an ice storm that hit Northern Michigan in March because National Weather Service balloon sites were cut or reduced.

Travelers in parts of Montana, Idaho and Wyoming have been warned about dangerous road conditions as a storm system is forecast to bring up to two feet of snow.
