Police said one person was detained but they were still looking for another. They also said there was no threat to the community.

Houston police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2300 block of Fulton around 1 p.m. According to officers, the 16-year-old got into an altercation with other teens outside of Northside High School when he was shot in the arm. Officers believe they have recovered the weapon.

A 14-year-old suspect was taken into custody after a student died and another was injured after a stabbing at Southeast Raleigh High School.

A 14-year-old student at a North Carolina high school stabbed two of his classmates, killing one of them, during a brawl in the school's gym on Monday, said police.
