The wildfire tearing through Southern California’s San Bernardino County is now endangering more than 36,000 structures, according to emergency officials.

The Line Fire in San Bernardino County has so far razed 17,459 acres, and created its own weather system with thunderstorm-like clouds made from smoke and lightning strikes.

Some Southern California residents were forced from their homes Saturday after an explosive wildfire grew by more than 3,000 acres in mere hours – and is burning so intensely that it is creating its own weather.
