Bronx man charged after boat with 22 people aboard catches fire in Long Island Sound, authorities say
A boat fire off Hart Island sent nearly two dozen people into the water Saturday night — three of whom would be taken to hospitals, according to the FDNY. The boat with 22 people aboard burst into flame off the east end of the island, across a narrow stretch of water from City Island in the Bronx, around 8 p.m., Assistant Chief Michael Meyer said.
