FLINT, MI – Three Flint residents are facing animal abuse charges after police found two dead dogs, two emaciated dogs and a nine-year-old boy living in what Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson called “deplorable” conditions.

Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson shared details about a disturbing animal abuse and child abuse case. Swanson said AT&T workers were doing work outside of a home in Flint on Mable Avenue when they saw a manhole cover had been lifted and about $30,

A 9-year-old boy was also found in the home which was deplorable inside, and had a refrigerator full of rotting food, not working.

The sheriff related that at the home where three adults were staying, there was rotting food and a non-working refrigerator. There were also two dead dogs along with two emaciated dogs that had no water or food.
