Dangerous storms are set to unload tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail over the central United States on a daily basis through the weekend. Some locations are facing down a severe thunderstorm threat spanning two or three consecutive days.
There is a “relatively substantial tornado threat Friday afternoon and evening for eastern Kansas into western Missouri,” the weather service said. The weather service’s Storm Prediction Center has placed the Kansas City area under an enhanced risk of severe weather.
